Hoax or Disinformation: A Letter from United Front of the Tibetan People

Some people make a big fuss of a letter that has been sent to people by a so called United Front of the Tibetan People. A “hero member” of the DorjeShugden.com site states:

A friend just received these letters today. It is very worrying! Please circulate this to as many authorities as possible… even the FBI… this is out right threats, if it isn’t I don’t know what is. This is a clear indication of a hit-list sent out to Tibetan to attack 34 Tibetans who protested and the list is probably growing. Shame on you CTA. You cannot get away with murder!

Letter from United Front of the Tibetan People:
Please read the letter that I received today from The United Front of the Tibetan People – this is quite shocking. It says things like “I think we need to take action against the 34 Tibetans and teach them lesson. We need to silence them and not let them protesting.” This is really unbelieveable and clear evidence of bullying and discrimation.

The NKT nun Kelsang Chogyop received this letter in the USA and spread it via Facebook. From there it made its way through the internet. The letter to Kelsang Chogyop seems to have contained also the highly questionable lists of Tibetan Shugden protesters. Mixing again fiction with facts.

The letter is either a hoax or it can be even disinformation from the Shugden people themselves.* There is no United Front of the Tibetan People. Any thinking person will see that the letter is also plain stupid speaking of the Dalai Lama as a god etc. Who takes this letter seriously can not be taken seriously … The letter is signed by four individuals. In the context of this controversy nowadays almost nobody wants their name even to be mentioned not to speak about signing such a letter with your real name. Everybody can take this letter and can go to the next police office to ask the police to take actions … The letter has no website address either …

* In the past it was planned by Shugden people to murder the assistant of Trijang Chogtrul Rinpoche in order to blame the CTA for this murder. For details see excerpt here.

If you want my opinion, having read through this letter, I smell a smear campaign (crafted by the Shugden people) targeting HHDL (as well as his followers who are depicted as sheeplike, i.e., meek, docile, and stupid) and the CTA. It strains credulity, and that would be an understatement. Having had a number of encounters with those brainwashed by and working diligently for the CPC, there is a striking similarity to many of the propaganda techniques that are commonly employed by them. These techniques are never sophisticated; they are always clumsy and transparent. It’s just amazing the lengths they are willing to go, but more importantly, perhaps, it shows quite clearly the disturbed minds behind such efforts.

An NKT member, called Diane, was very worried as she had received a threatening letter. The NKT believed that the CTA was behind these threats. Here is the message that Diane sent to me, explaining this situation:

”
Diane: Robert, I have a couple of things to share with you: 1) an e-mail I received from Mr. Tashi Phuntsok (his name matches up as the Secretary for Information of the Department of Information & International Relations at the CTA — I had previously sent an e-mail to the CTA voicing my concerns over their list of 20 Tibetans who took part in the peaceful demos).

It reads: “Don’t try to involve with Shugden group. this would never help you in your life time. Better I would suggest you to keep stay away from Shugden..Mind your own business.. I also warn you don’t try to make controversy among Tibetan brothers and sisters. 90% of the tibetan people are the true follower HHDL. You can’t change it.. Mind it.;

[This is the exact e-mail — I would have attached the pdf of the e-mail received but for some reason that option isn’t available on this page]. 2) I also received one of those ‘threat’ letters (for lack of a better name) — this was sent to my unlisted home address (not a NKT dharma center’s address). I have no idea how my home address was obtained.

You may see these letters as little to be concerned about — I can assure you there is a sense of threat upon receiving one. These two bits of correspondence arrived (one in an e-mail & another through the postal service weeks apart). Would it be unreasonable to assume threats are being made to Shugden practitioners?

In a private message, Diane kindly shared with me a screenshot of the actual email, which showed the email address the threatening letter was sent from.

I then proceeded to tracking down the culprit behind this threatening email, and after a long and arduous journey through the raging storms of the internet, a journey of about….. ONE MINUTE … I was able to track down the owner of the email address.

It turns out, it wasn’t Mr. Tashi Phuntsok at all, and the CTA wasn’t behind it after all!

In truth, it turned out to be an angry young girl, only 20 years old, who is currently trying to find work as a traditional Tibetan therapist in Dharamsala.

I was able to find all of the girl’s details, included her name, DOB, location, even her phone number. But I won’t be sharing these online, as I feel sorry for the girl, as Jesus once said, apparently, “forgive them Lord, they know not what they do!” Or at least that’s how it was said in the movie by Mel Gibson.

To any NKT reading, please don’t be mad at this girl. She is only young, so let’s just have compassion and forgive her.

Let this be a lesson to those in the NKT, who are full of pride. Things are not always what they seem. Sometimes the truth is buried just a little deeper.

  The NKT and Shugden propagandist have lost their brain due to their hostility and hate. Now they take even the most ridiculous things as signs for “discrimination”. Their responses to even the most stupid letters or emails is a mixture of joy (to have found evidence), shock and awe (an aspect of self-pity, approving the self-righteous victimization role) and justification to attack the Dalai Lama even more. Self-serving selfishness.

Now, anyone willing to believe that video demonstrates what the headline says it does really needs to have their head examined.

It is sad, the NKT people are victims of their own organization’s propaganda. Feeling threatened and uneasy due to the paper tiger of the “Dalai Lama Mob” the NKT has created through its propaganda. One wishes they would exercise a little bit of discernment. The fact that the video above is considered “evidence” demonstrates just how much their critical faculties have been eroded through the conditioning of NKT’s ISC campaign.
